About Me.
I’ve written about feuding Arctic explorers for The Southern Review, concussions and college football for the Sewanee Review, ice climbers with disabilities for Sierra Magazine, caving for Shenandoah, Alaskan Reality TV for Michigan Quarterly Review, and Alissa Nutting’s ‘Made for Love’ for The Cincinnati Review.
I grew up in Berkeley, California. I earned my MFA from the Michener Center for Writers in Austin, Texas, where I served as fiction editor for Bat City Review, and have a BA in English and Creative Writing from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine.
After getting my start as an editorial intern at Random House, I worked as a freelance writer and editor, ushering novels, short story collections, memoirs, and researched non-fiction through the creative process. I've also served as an admissions screener for a top ranked MFA program.
As an editor, I enjoy working with fiction, researched non-fiction, and memoir. I'm also a member of the Editorial Freelance Association.
Additionally, I offer ghostwriting and collaboration, represented by Madeleine Morel at 2M Communications.
